Downsizing water tank
Hi i have a large water tank heater at the moment installed to heat water in my house. I used to have a bath but now I have changed it to only electric shower. I only need water for 2 sinks at the moment (bathroom and kitchen). I was wondering If I downsize water heater tank to 30l or so would that make it more economical. My current tank is realy loud when water gets into it. If I downsize will there be less noise. And currently water pressure is alright if I downsize it will it effect water pressure? Im thinking to get 30 l -B energy efficent, 1.5kw water heater

Everything should stay the same, pressure wise, if you keep pipes the same size, should be more economical, Trevor

Why create more costings for yourself when it's not necessary! Keep as is and save your money ! No need to change it ! Unless its leaking then a different story

Before removing the old water tank you should have it checked because a lot of them were made of asbestos.

Water regs states you should have a minimum of 40l of hot water available per person and 80l of cold.
Before recommending on down sizing the cylinder and cwsc I would need to know how many people occupy this property.
He is right in saying you would save money on heating the water as it would be a smaller volume to heat.
