Adding to an extension
我有一个扩展大概叶子3 x 3 feet square area between the wall and the boundary to the neighbor. The neighbors have built an extension from the wall on their side. So now I am left with this small area which is of no use. I would like to know if I can include it in the extension and do I need planning permission for that?

You will need to let the local authorities know and see what can be done with regards your architect.

You can be included within the extension without planning permission if the floor area does not exceed 20 square meters and is no more 2.5 meters high regards graham GCD developments

This is quite simple, just ask the local building control officer.

If it’s 3 by 3 you don’t need planning permission but you need to notify the building regs.
