Central Heating

最好的环保的未来是什么

我在一个小2.5卧室100岁中期terraced house and my gas central heating boiler needs replacing.

I don't think I have room for all the stuff that goes with ground source etc. So should I replace it like for like (another gas boiler) or would something else be better? Should I think about solar panels?

I also don't have money to spare.

Many thanks,
Meg.

Stick with gas for now. Make sure you have adequate loft insulation and consider retrofit under floor insulation if you have sufficient space under suspended ground floor. As you are dependant on the thermal efficiency of your neighbours either side, you can only insulate above and below. Double or triple glazing will help also.

Yes, it is better to have combi boiler, 24kW working with gas A rated. Gas boiler is cheaper than other suppliers, such as electric boiler or solar panels.
