Overflowing water
My house is 30 years old ,detached and I have some guttering at the back of house that overflows,i think it may be moss but also I think there maybe a crack or seal broken in guttering junction.I have been told that maybe have the roof cleared of moss but not sure if this is correct or not or if I am being conned by a guttering person.Have been quoted £900 to clean guttering and moss on roof with a biotech cleaner and 2 year guarantee.

Clearing the roof and gutter free from moss is always a good idea.
It's impossible to say weather £900 is reasonable because I obviously haven't seen the property.
Cleaning moss from roof tiles normally averages at about £200 per side. But this is just an average and as I said I don't know how big or difficult to navigate the roof is.
Hope this is helpful.

Cleaning the moss off the roof and gutter would certainly help and maybe fix problem and you would be able to inspect gutter for cracks properly once it’s cleaned and cleaning the moss off the roof would prevent the gutters filling up with moss again.I don’t know how big your house is but £900 seems way too much tho for this work I would get another quote off someone like myself who does a good honest value for money service

Very overpriced if the guttering is intact and just needs minor repair and a clean out and moss removal from your roof. Please note that unfortunatley the heavy rain storms are becoming more regular. I have been to jobs where after a storm I have been called out due to water pouring over the guttering. The guttering has been absolutely fine and no blockages at all its just that the gutters can't take the volume. The only thing I could do is suggest larger guttering is installed I.e from 4 Inch to 6 inch
