Bath tap has no hotwater

My bath tap has recently stopped providing hot water. It is next to the bathroom sink which still runs hot water fine, but the bath tap will at most give a few seconds of warm water (I'm assuming what was left warm in the pipe from the sink tap being on) and then goes back to cold.

It has worked fine for years till now and the boiler pressure is fine. Any ideas what it could be? I am stumped

** it is a separate tap not a mixer

As you have flow of cold water in the hot tap and basin ok the two previous are unlikely
Have you separate taps or mixer

这个问题可能是由于供应p的大小ipe, if the pipe is too small and a great distance away from the boiler it could be having a high demand on the boiler for hot water. Possibly diverter valve not activating appropriately.

Sometimes the washer holder unscrews from inside the tap body & sticks to the tap seating & stops the water flow
This is normally only in an ordinary tap with a small black washer not a ceramic type of tap
Hope this helps
