Boiler doesn't switch
Hi. Our boiler doesn't switch from the first attempt and it always takes about 2-3 minutes to switch. It starts working then stops and does like that few times before the fire is on. It has been now for about 3-4 months. The boiler is about 20 years old. I tried to reset it but reset button is broken. It has been broken before we moved here. The boiler make is Potterton Prima F 30. Please tell us what is the problem and if it could be fixed. Thank you.
P.S Please also tell us how much it could cost roughly (visit, repair, parts etc.) and if you could fix it ASAP. Out post cod UB2 4UP.

Hi according to the symptoms you have described the problem usually is between the gas valve and pcb both parts are readly available but accurate testing would be required to correctly diagnose the exact cause. Hope this helps. Also although it's not very efficient it is a very reliable boiler.
