Do i need architectural drawings
I plan to build a 7x4m rear extension to current building regulations. It's a straight forward build with a pitched roof. Just wanted to ask in people's professional opinion am I wasting £800+ on fees.
Any advice would be great

It may be possible to build a single storey extension to the dimensions you have described under what is called permitted development ie no planning consent. But you would still have to employ the services of an architect to draw up detailed plans to submit to building control along with any structural calculations of any loadbearing steel beams etc.
