Abdullah is an exceptional decorator. His attention to detail is impeccable and the quality of his work is first rate. We asked him to prepare our patchy victorian plaster walls and hang lining paper. Considering how wonky our 120 year house is he did it perfectly. He also painted the walls and they look amazing. In addition to lining paper and painting we taked Abdullah with installing some bespoke, designer, patterned wall paper in a tiny toilet space, the results are as good as you would see in a gallery. Finally he fixed a hole in our ceiling where one of the builder came through on a ladder (no one was injured) with no fuss. His pricing was very fair and he worked non stop, we will have him back soon to help us restore the ornate plasterwork. 10/10 5 stars etc.

If the carpet fitter put a nail from the gripper straight through a water pipe, then the pipe must have been less than an inch from the floor surface. i'm pretty sure that there is a british standard depth for piping and for that matter also wiring to go under the floor boarding to prevent this type of occurrence. i would suggest that the blame lies solely with the cowboy that installed your water pipes.

Hi leaving the furniture in the room isnt a problem, as a carpet fitter i would fit half the room then move the items from the unfitted end onto the fitted end . as long as the floor doesnt have bounce and is solid then the laminate can stay down but i would always recommend removing it. if you dont want to cause any damage to the laminate then you can use a underlay called durafit which you then stick the carpet to which means you dont have to use gripper . hope that answers you questions if you need any more information please get in contact regards jason

You must fit skirtings first as the gripper is fitted leaving a tuckin gap which is needed to stretch the carpet into. anyone tell you different then just ignore as its wrong.

Relaying carpet when moving has been done before providing you take care when lifting and transporting there is a good chance you will be able to lay it again best to plan out the position of the carpets by making a drawing of the original positions so you can fit in the new room and hide areas under beds etc as before if posible after all is done if it is not quite right you can replace at a later stage anyway so really you only have the time as an outlay so nothing to loose so go for it good luck kelvin if you like this click the like button thanks
